june 8 2007

On June 6 I received the Mayor's Drug and Alcohol Executive Commission's Making a Difference Award. It was very exciting to receive this award and there was much interest in our knitting program and how it helps our clients. I will put more on the blog about it but want to get our photos posted for now. I want to thank everyone at Interim House and Kathy Wellbank for the nomination!

This is a blanket that our client is making to look like a "misty enchanted forest".
Above: a shawl with sugar and cream.
This is the beginning of a crocheted project.
the red homespun yarn scarf is a first project for this knitter and is getting longer each day!
The blankets below are made with each row using a different yarn and the fringe is made by leaving the yarn long on each new row. They are all different and fun! There are several mixed in with crocheted afghans.
