October 26, 2007 part 1

Above: this new knitter has only been here two weeks. Below: cascade yarn to be felted.

Above and below: new knitters working on scarves.

More scarves above. A client is designing a sweater in progress.

Our graduate who comes back every week for knitting knitted the gloves above and felted the hat below. How cool!

Above and below: Zelphia is our volunteer who always brings beautiful knitted creations giving us all inspiration.

Above: a new knitter who proudly is showing the world her first scarf.

Above and below: Leslie our knitwear designer who comes every week as a volunteer showing us her completed knitted bags with embellishments.

Here is Leslie explaining how you need to experiment sometimes with different sized needles to get the look and feel that is right for you.
Abby: Here is the blanket completed. It was great to hear from you and we can't wait to see you again.
Megan is our volunteer turned employee showing a woven knitted scarf/belt which she called a barf.

I have lots of scarves and projects above by new knitters.
Here is Amy. She used to volunteer here and moved to Wisconsin. She surprised us today with a visit and explained how she used to be an antiknitter but peer pressure got her knitting. The clients loved hearing about what she is doing now and her knitting story. She also taught a brand new client here how to knit.

Above: the prayer shawl is growing.
