November 21, 2008

There is so much creativity here with the combination of colors and yarns. Our clients can do so much with different yarns and textures put together. With the holidays coming it is rewarding and fun to actually create something for someone and our new knitters are discovering that. It also creates conversation as people get to know each other. Knitters always have something to talk about. Here are some photos of this week's knitting group.

More beautiful scarves.

This blanket is for our client's sister. It is many shades of purple. She is also knitting a handbag to be felted.

Lucia is telling us about her knitting project. Leslie is showing us hers. Both Leslie and Lucia volunteer here.

Here is our intern showing the ladies a scarf she finished.
Our client completed this blanket on size 35 needles. It turned out beautiful!
Above more scarves and below a first project, a washcloth.

Abve, a blanket in progress. Below, two unfelted handbags. This client combines acrylic yarns to make handbags.

Zelphia is showing us a shawl she is making that had over 1000 stitches cast on. She also showed mittens that she finished.
