Above: a blanket in progress and below a scarf with a very fancy yarn.
These are all of the samples we have hanging outside my office - our "knitting museum"!
This is Jean, a volunteer, she is teaching a new client how to knit.
Above: she has only learned two weeks ago and look at the scarf.
Above is a bag felted and below: the finished baby blanket.

Above: half done, below, all felted. she wanted the ends to stick out and give it a different look. It was actually lots of pieces of embroidery yarn knitted along with a mohair yarn.
Above: another felted bag.
Above: lisa and michelle who work here are working on their scarves.
above and below: first projects. these are new knitters.
Above: Lucia's sweater is growing. Below, leslie, one of our volunteers is helping someone untangle beautiful yarn that got out of hand.
Above: this was supposed to be a bowl but it felted flat.
Two more first projects.

Here is Zelphia, our volunteer, showing the ladies a sweater she finished. And a different pattern for a scarf below.
Leg warmers below: look at her with those double pointed needles.
Below, another scarf by a newer knitter.
What stands out this week is enthusiasm and persistence. We had so many new people starting at the same time and so many new knitters trying and trying and then getting it! It is wonderful to see the progress. We love the notes we receive. They are positive and inspiring for all of us. Thanks to everyone!
