She finished her bag and it is now ready to go!
I finished my blanket and look who LOVES it! I have to hide it from my dog Guy! Several of the clients are now working on their own.
Above is baby blanket knitted in a log cabin way, adding strips by picking up stitches.
One of our ladies lined her felted bag. Really nice to have a pocket in it.
She made socks as well. Below is the outside of the handbag she lined.
Above and below: We are totally impressed and inspired by the shawl that Zelphia, our volunteer, has knitted.
Right in front of Zelphia is a project someone is working on. I think leg warmers and below, socks for a little girl.
Above: someone else is learning socks and double pointed needles. Below: someone is having fun being creative.
Above and below: Lucia our volunteer is showing us her ongoing sweater. We love looking at it grow each week. One of Lucia's reminders to us is "progress not perfection."
Linda, our nurse, is working on a blanket. And below, another blanket.
and another blanket.
Above, her felted bag is finished. She was so surprised that it could turn into something so beautiful. Now she is working on scarves and another bag.
Below: a blanket. She wants to add lots of stripes of colors. What stands out this week: Passing it on. So many of our ladies are teaching others. It is so nice to see everyone working together. Today's group was a great example of passing it on because we had four new knitters and and two almost new knitters, it was a snowy day outside, and the time went by so quickly, and the teachers learned they could teach and the new knitters learned they could knit! It was all good and even the snow cooperated by melting by the end of the day!
