Lucia, our volunteer, is showing us a hoodie she made for her niece. Some of the clients asked her to teach them and so in two weeks Lucia will have a hoodie workshop for some of the ladies.

Zelphia is working on another intricate shawl design. Today she taught one of the newer clients a vine pattern. I will have it on next week's blog and it is so beautiful.

Above and below: this is Tiffani a new knitter (grey shirt)who works here. she is being taught how to cast on by a client and below she is showing everyone a scarf she finished for her nephew. Something I have noticed recently:Those that have been here longer and knitting longer are teaching newcomers. Sometimes when I come in and meet someone new, I am told "Oh, I already got her started!" It is great to have lots of knitting teachers!!!! 
Look at this beautiful scarf. It is hard to tell but she did "condo knitting" - she used size 17 and size 11 needles and after casting on 9 did five rows with the large and 5 rows with the small for the whole scarf.
