I finished my blanket !

This is a shrug being made by our volunteer graduate.

Amy, our volunteer, has on her tenth scarf. She is working on a prayer shawl.

Megan, our volunteer, finished her log cabin. One of the clients is going to begin one now with Megan teaching her.

This is fun fur and mohair. This client is finding her knitting especially helpful and has several projects going.

Zelpha is working on a shawl.

Leslie finished her sweater!

And here is my blanket again. With Toby. I am quite proud of finishing something this large and that others want to make. It is 150 stitches on size 11's and it is 40 inches long. It is fun because it is so many different yarns and gauge doesn't matter. Next week we might have many more to show - those circulars are busy here at Interim House!

This client said her grandmother tried teaching her to crochet as a little girl. She has only been here two weeks but just finished this blanket for her niece. It is made with simply soft and has a border of fun fur.

Look at this 12 step blanket. She's got all twelve colors in it.

Here is a shawl with a very silky yarn.

Lots going on here. Just about everyone here is knitting or crocheting. Our group this week was fun as we got to see everyone's project. We had a new client who wasn't quite sure at first but after seeing all of the beautiful creations, she sat with one of the volunteers and learned how to knit. When I take these photos it is only a small portion of what is being created. It is amazing to be part of all of this beauty and creativity.
