Words of the Weeks: The Knit Out was Great!

The Knit Out in Center City was a great experience. We all learned something new: new crochet stitches, how to cast on, how to knit, how to bind off, how to crochet, how to make crocheted flowers. I am displaying some of the projects made since the knit out. Thanks to Gwen Agard and all of the volunteers for putting this wonderful event on. Besides working on warm hats and scarves for themselves and their families the women are also going to participate in the Annual Warmth in Winter Holiday Drive which needs hats and scarves for children in Philadelphia and Urban Genesis which provides comfort items to children in stressful situations and these items include teddy bears and blankets.
