July 10, 2009 & Pet Therapy Visit

We had our pet therapy visit this month and our ongoing service project is making blankets for the dogs and cats at the SPCA. Kristen from Pals for Life gets them to the animals in need for us. Kristen brought kittens she is fostering (with traumatic pasts) and our whole group helped hold them to get them used to kind hands. She also brought Mikey, a therapy dog, who always loves modeling a newly knitted or crocheted blanket. Are they so cute?!!!

Heather, who only has two more Fridays with us, is finishing her bathing suit cover up.

Lynn, who works here, is always having fun with new projects. She is showing us her twirley scarves.

A new knitter is starting a scarf. Her grandmother taught her a long time ago and it came back to her.

This is a first project. She is also making balls of colorful yarn from bits and pieces of yarn tied together.
