Feb. 13 & Feb 6 - 2009 - two weeks together

Happy Valentine's Day. Thanks for all of the good wishes from near and far. There is so much knitting going on I can't even keep up with the photos of all of the projects. We even have a bag created by one of the ladies made with lots of different fun far yarns and tied with a drawstring turning it into a backpack.

Below, a blanket in shades of blue.

Zelphia, our volunteer is telling us about the scarf she is wearing.

Above, a scarf on really big needles and below: almost ready to felt.

This is Linda, our volunteer, showing us her latest project.

Linda, our nurse, is trying her hand at socks again!

Deb, who works here, is completing her first hat!

Above, lots of mixed yarns are turning out to be beautiful little girl handbags and backpacks. Below, Heather, our social work intern, is making squares for an eventual baby quilt.

Here is a baby blanket knitted from a triangle which teaches increases and decreases.

Here is a felted bag with fun fur mixed in. It turned out exactly as she wanted.

This is baby Maddie with my project, the blanket she was supposed to come home from the hospital in. I am almost half done!

Here is some of our handbag gallery:
