My little friend keeps sitting on the blanket as I try to sew together the squares. He is getting ready for Halloween modeling his devil ears! Below is the blanket that we are working on. We are knitting squares to be sewn together for our coworker's little boy. We want it to be colorful with a lot of textures.

Happy Birthday Lucia, our volunteer! We caught her by surprise. As she walked in everyone sang Happy Birthday!

Look at how nice this blanket is turning out in shades of brown and beige. Below: we have lots of new knitters. I wish I could show you the smiles when a new knitter realizes she "got it."

Above and below: this lady has only been here a week. I just taught her to cast on and bind off. Yeaaaa!

Above our lady who is making many scarves. Below: our everything blanket. She doesn't want to end it! It is so beautiful in shades of red.

Our very own outpatient client, our "socklady", is teaching our nurse, Linda, how to knit socks. Above, Linda's first sock, is just a little off. But she did it! double pointed needles, Yeaaa!

After the "odd looking sock" this photo shows she is on her way.

Zelphia, our volunteer, is showing the ladies short rows. Maybe someone will be inspired to try it.

This is a poncho half done in homespun. Below: Leslie, our volunteer, is knitting childrens' sweaters.

Above: the elizabeth zimmerman baby surprise jacket got buttons. Below our new knitter making scarves.

This is the area outside of my office. We call it the Knitting Museum. I have hanging lots of different items that have been knitted as a way to inspire our knitters.
