July 11, 2008

The lady above cannot believe she is knitting handbags. She is working on another one! She just finished the one below.

Welcome back Zelphia after being away on vacation. She is working on a shawl inspired by our ladies here.

Two more handbags above. One is grey lambs pride and the other wool is from Ireland.

The crocheted blanket above is just about done. Below: this will be an unfelted bag.

This is our volunteer Jean. Look at the sweater she made in a two year old size.

This is a new knitter. She finished a scarf and Jean helped her with embellishing the handbag. The strap is braided. What a great idea!
More everything blankets!
This beautiful throw in shades of purple is a present for her mother and has a matching pillow. She bound the blanket off today and worked very hard to complete it.

Above is a felted bag that turned out to be a duffel bag. Below is the beginning of a blanket.

This handbag below is beautiful. Great work!!!!

The blanket above has a story. It took several months to complete and is just beautiful with all of the pink yarns. We had a binding off party today!! She said sitting quietly and knitting and watching it grow larger and more beautiful helped her. But she is being discharged and now will have a beautiful blanket to bring with her - her own recovery blanket.
Above and below: this lady can both knit and crochet.

Here is Leslie, our volunteer, inspiring everyone with her beautiful scarves.
Here are two more blankets growing.

The weeks go by so quickly. Thanks to everyone who gets in touch with me, thanks for your good wishes, we all appreciate it.
